History Craig and Kathy Canoyer began their Greenhouse operation in 1986 as a hobby on the family farm in a 200 square foot glass greenhouse. They have grown to a 40,000 square foot growing facility in Griswold, Iowa with a 10,000 square foot retail and Gift Shop area. Also they provide services of wholesale and landscaping. After 33 years of farming, Craig and Kathy now manage the greenhouse full time. Son, Kyle joined the business in 2001 as a full time employee. Son, Brad joined in 2001as a part-time employee managing the Lincoln, Nebraska growing facility. After 20 years of Business, Craig and Kathy Canoyer decided to expand their operations into Papillion, Nebraska. Canoyer Garden Center was completed and opened for business on April 21, 2006. This New State of the Art Facility is a beautiful 30,000 square foot glass structure of which 5,000 square foot is Gift Shop. In 2006, Craig and Kathy brought all of their children into the business as full-time employees. Son, Kyle is the Manager of the Papillion Garden Center; Son, Brad is the Landscaping Manager and Grower; Daughter, Amy Wyman is Office, Accounting, and Marketing Manager; and Son-in-Law Marty Wyman is the Facility Manager. Kathy’s love for flowers as a young farm wife has developed into a growing business that her entire family has learned to love. What stated out as a hobby has truly become a family business. |
