Annual Veterans Memorial Services
Annual Veterans Memorial Services were held Monday, May 31st at the Griswold Cemetery.
A large crowd was on hand for the event sponsored each year by the American Legion Post #508, Griswold Ministerial Association and the Griswold Cemetery Board. The service began with the color guard presenting the colors and the playing of our National Anthem. Commander, Lee Wyman welcomed the group to the services followed by an address by Dr. Lou Hall. Dr. Hall commemorated all veterans. He honored those that gave the ultimate sacrifice, as well as those proudly serving our country today protecting our freedoms as Americans. The service concluded with Legion Chaplain Neil Potter giving the closing prayer, a military gun salute, and the playing of taps by Melanie Bierbaum and Jodie Speck.
